The final post of the 2011 Festive Friday Blog hop

I wanted to make a special card for our last blog of the year.

                                          Holly Santa

This card is made using Tim Holtz Christmas Resist holly paper.  Santa is chalked and the
holly is  colored with watercolor pencils.  I have cut holly out of another piece of the same paper and I layered it on to the original holly and added a swash of holly around "Holly Santa's" face (item # 14721)  This stamp is made by Viva Las Vegastamps!

You'll also see one of my Many Paper Ornaments.  I am obsessed with making them!

The next one is my favorite.

Next are my Bling ornaments

Festive Friday Christmas Card blog hop 19

With all the beautiful Christmas papers out it makes it easy to make cards.  This paper is from Antiquity papers and was cut into quarters and the first one I only had to scallop the edge to complete.  On the second card I added some blig with Jolie glitered stickers.  From one piece of 12 x 12 paper you could make 4 cards.  Easy Peasy.

and the manniquen is a Tim Holtz stamp

I found this lacy print paper in my stash.  I added a few measuring tape stickers and Rub ons which are by Heide Grace.  I than stamped the sewing machine stamp over a piece I had previously stamped with a stitched outline.  I added the manniquin, the thread spools and the thimble. adhearing all pieces with scotch double sided foam tape.  I cut out leaves from a third piece of paper (which I also used as my backing), attached buttons for berries and a small scissor brad.

14th Festive Friday CHIRSTMAS CARD blog hop

I decided to try a distressed look this time.  The santa stamp is by a company named Anita's.  I used Stazon ink for the Santa and the face is done with colored pencils.  The ink I used in the distressing is of course Tim Holtz distressed ink, Antique Paper.

Roses, Roses everywhere

You will see I am ROSE crazy!!

These roses have been made from, Wendy Vechi's, Studio 490 rubber stamps.  This rose was designed by Tim Holtz.

I taught myself how to put roses on long stems
and now have bouquets all over my home....They always stay fresh!

You don't even know how many roses are in this wreath
I know I don't

How about a custom Wedding Bouquet

                                Or a pretty nosegay

    and a Merry Christmas bouquet

Festive Friday CHIRSTMAS CARD blog hop #9

MAY YOUR HOLIDAYS BE OVER THE MOON
You should have just hopped her from Chris Hurley's blog
The technique I used here combines both jewelry and card making techniques.
I stamped the original design on card stock both kraft and a white. I chose the area I wanted to focus on and rubber stamped it on a piece of Ecoartboard. Both were colored in with Faber Castel water color pencils. The art board was covered with a coating from an embossing pad. For the white card I used Tsukineko and for the Kraft colored card I used a stained versamark pad.
When the embossing ink was still wet I covered the boards with Ultra thick embossing powder (UTEE)
and heated it. I did this process several times to make a thicker and smoother glaze.
The papers I used were embosses Bazzil 8 1/2" x 11" sheets.
This gorgeous stamp is called "Moon Party" from Viva Las Vegastamps! They also carry the Ecoartboard, embossing stamp pad by Tsukineko, and High Gloss Embossing Powder and miracle tape that i used to adhere the art board to the card, it is quite strong and easy to use.
Check out their blog for new Design Team ideas including those from some of us on the blog hop team.
