Festive Friday CHIRSTMAS CARD blog hop #8

We are hopping again! You should have hopped here from Chris Hurley's Blog

I made some mini Christmas bags and CARDS.  The bag die is from Accucuts and the rosettes are from Tim Holtz (large size).  I love Christmas Paper and rosettes so I combined them here.

These ideas could also be used on Christmas Cards as you will see below the bag photos.

We have so many companies making beautiful Christmas Papers and Die cuts.  We have a plethora to choose from.

Viva Las Vegastamps Design team submission April 11/11

When I find a new stamp I love, like this "Holly Santa" from Viva Las Vegastamps, I want to experiment and see what looks I can get. I've included two of my series of my favorite experiments using this stamp. You can see a third on Sakura craft design team block, where I used Crystal Lacquer to give dimension and gloss to the beard.

On the card above I used a technique I love. I took a white Color Box pigment ink stamp pad, a small brush and some water. I put a small amount of water on my brush using an almost dry brush technique where I dip the tip on the pad and paint it directly on the card. I do this several times until I get the effect I want. With the holly I used watercolor pencils.

The papers I used in this card are by Melissa Francis.

On the card above I used "pebbles" brand chalks and very small cotton balls in a holder also produced by Pebbles.
I love how different this stamp looks with different techniques. I am fascinated using print paper as a back ground. I still have a card I made with Stickles that I will save for later. Keep watching. Leave some love comments are welcome.

Festive Friday Blog Hop

You should have hopped here from Chris Hurley's blog

Here are some Quick cards for times you want a special look but just don't have the time.  I have used Cosmo Cricket Christmas papers and Bo Bunny rub ons.

This card I stamped and then added chalk to the Pine sprigs and then added more rub ons.

This card is done with vellum stickers both front and inside

Sakura Design Team submission April 6th

I love the gloss and dimension that  Crystal Lacquer by Sakura craft gives to my projects.

I used Crystal Lacquer on the card by covering the entire beards and leaving to completely dry. I did this 2 additional times with a total of 3 applications. I also glued down the clear button with the Christmas tree rub onto the card with Crystal Lacquer, my now favorite glue.

The stamp is called Santa Holly and comes from Viva las Vegas stamps. I did the base stamping with Stazon saddle brown ink . The face and corners where colored with chalks.

The paper I used was a previous Cosmo Cricket Christmas series.

This close up gives you an idea of the actual dimension the Crystal Lacquer gives this piece.
