Viva Las Vegas Design team announced!!!

I am now a member of the Viva Las Vegas Design Team. I am so excited to join so many great artist on the First VLV design team. I just received my first stamps yesterday as I was out of town. Later in the day I will post my First VLV cards.

Go to: http://www.vivalasvegastamps.com They have stamps for everything and I mean everything! Search a topic you're interested in and you'll find what your looking for. My favorites are Steampunk, Vintage and Victorian.

I have been sitting on pins and needles waiting to play with this stamp
This stamp is called "There must  be away to love you"  It is an ATC stamp size 2 1/2 x 3
                                                       Item no. 16086 plate 1278

I used water color pencils and Graphic 45 Jazz paper

This time I used pebbles chalks

I decided to stamp on newsprint and I like the effect

This was my experimental trial and I liked the sequence and decided to also make it into a card.

On this  card I had Tim Holtz distress ink (vintage photo) and I added Stazzon (saddle brown) all 4 times I stamped.  I loved the shading effect I hope you do to!

Festive Friday Blog Hop

You should have just hopped over from Chris Hurley's Blog

It's blog hop time again. I love to decorate for Christmas, so here is a decoration to make when your not making cards. This is a Tim Holtz configuration box covered with Tim Holtz tissue tape. To keep the Tim theme I have added his metal legs, lock, clock key, corners and crystal knob (actually the legs and other parts are not Tim Holtz's own parts,  but products Ranger makes) Put your Christmas treasures inside and you have a beautiful Christmas decoration!

You should now be hopping to Laura Davidson's blogg http://www.Lauraleesdrean.blogspot.com

Sakura Design Team submission March 16th

                                                                     Bottle Cap Jewelry

These 3 pieces are constructed using Bottle Caps.
I glue my pictures down inside the Bottle caps and than cover
them with Crystal Lacquer and set them aside to dry.  On the center piece I also added
a little fine glitter to the top of the Sakura Crystal Lacquer for a little bit of sparkle.
I punch a small hole in the tops and bottoms of caps and attach hanging pieces from them with split jump rings.  The clock bottle cap was attached directly to the metal with Crystal lacquer and than a pin was attached to the back.  These  bottle cap charms would also work well for bracelets.

steampunk cards for Viva Las Vegas Stamps submission

I am trying out for the Viva Las Vegastamps! Design Team and here is my projects... Check out there website for amazing stamps at Viva Las Vegastamps! and check out their blog also..

Steampunk Gears
inked chipboard and metal gears added to Graphic 45 papers

Steampunk Angel
I love 3 dimension and I had a great time with stamping this card. I stamped the "wordy girl" several times added the angel wing stamps. I layers the skirt into 5 layers and popped them up with scotch double sided foam tape. The wings were stamped with silver metallic "color box" ink and than I embossed them with clear embossing powder. I trimmed and manipulated the wings to give more dimension and added a silver Marah Johnson crown to top her off her look.

Festive Friday Blog Hop

You should hopped over from Chris Hurley's blog

I decided to do a Christmas Decor item: This Tussy Mussy design is one I really love. This project used Graphic 45 Christmas Past papers for both the cone and several of the hanging decorations. I used fancy paper clips, garment pins, Tim Holtz trinket pins, ephemera and lots of lots of safety pins. I made some bottle caps with Sakura crystal lacquer and Martha Stewart glitter!

Fabric Fun

These are some of my favorite fabric pieces.
With a teaching credential in Needle Craft and Clothing Construction I can
hardly forget my roots.

Little Black Dress published in the Nov/Dec issue
of Belle Armoire Magazine

This mixed media book was created for
Cloth Paper Scissors

The photograph is picture is vintage...I know because it's me!
I transfered this photo to silk and then adorned it with handmade
silk ribbon embroidery and beads.
This project was also created for Cloth Paper Scissors

I added rub ons to the glass and framed it with an old
fashioned scrap book paper to add to the aged look.

I added lace and beading to this custom made frame

This hand made dress is approximately 2 feet tall
and was also created for Cloth Paper Scissors

All the beading is done by hand..which you can see
I love to do

the necklace includes vintage bake lite beads.

Hand wrapped flower

Sakura Design Team submission March 1, 2011

Sakura crystal lacquer was used in the construction of these handmade buttons.
They require clear buttons, tiles and charms from Tim Holtz and the paper used here is from the
Graphic 45 "Steam Punk collection".  Put Crystal lacquer on the paper where you want the design
and lay a clear button, tile or charm on top.  Allow time to dry and cut out your very own
one of a kind button
